We are writing this letter to let people know about the positive experience we had with our kitchen cabinet install with Straight Up Remodeling. We worked with Doug Straight through Lowe’s Port Orchard. Our install was not easy, as Doug had to deal with one of the kitchen walls that was made up entirely of brick from the floor to the vaulted wood ceiling. The brick wall was made of used brick and the surfaces were very uneven and during the process found that the openings for appliances were not vertical. It was a bit of a challenge.

Most of the cabinets today are modular, and working various spacers into the plan were needed so that you did not find you would be unable to open cabinet doors without hitting appliance handles or other door pulls. Doug had to order some extra molding to make things look finished. The cabinet company that we dealt with sent several items and they arrived damaged. New end panels had to be ordered, and it was necessary for Doug to make several extra trips.

To help speed our project up, he stayed late one night (after 7:00pm) to get the base cabinet units in place so that the counter top people could come in and make a template. He returned later to fine tune and adjust cabinet doors, and install upper cabinets and new pantry unit and cabinets on the brick wall.
